ETIZOLAM DOSAGE – FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY!

Etizolam Dosage Considerations

In Japan, India and Italy, etizolam is a legal drug that is prescribed by doctors. Patients who buy the drug in these countries should follow their physician’s recommendations exactly. People who do not live in these countries should not consume etizolam on their own. It has not been approved in the USA by the FDA, and it has not been approved by UK or EU regulating agencies with the exception of those in Italy.

 Etizolam Properties And Appearance

This drug is a thienodiazepine, which is very similar to a benzodiazepine in its effects and composition. It produces euphoric and sedative effects. The substance is metabolized in the liver and excreted through the kidneys. The average etizolam half-life is 6 hours, and the bioavailability is 93 percent. Etizolam usually comes in pill form. It is small, round, blue and has a line down the middle. Some pharmacies may also carry it in powder or liquid form in Japan, India or Italy. Etizolam is marketed under several brand names from different pharmaceutical manufacturers. Most are based in India.

 Common Legal Etizolam Dose Options

In countries where physicians legally prescribe etizolam, the dosages vary based on a patient’s diagnosis, health history and current health status. The drug is commonly used to treat anxiety, depression and mood disorders. Dosages typically vary between 0.5mg and 2mg. The 0.5mg dose is typical for panic disorder, 1.0mg is typical for generalized anxiety and 1mg or 2mg doses are typical for short-term treatment of insomnia. Doses for depression and other conditions vary based on several individual factors. It may also be used for seizures or musculoskeletal problems.

Most doctors are cautious to use the smallest possible dose for a patient’s condition. This is because of etizolam’s risk for tolerance, which can lead to dependence and addiction. When it is prescribed in higher doses, it is often prescribed only for a short amount of time. However, withdrawal is usually not as severe as benzodiazepine withdrawal.

 Etizolam Contraindications

Physicians in countries where etizolam is legal are careful to study a patient’s health history before writing an etizolam prescription. It is contraindicated and not recommended for patients with any of the following conditions:

  • Narrow-angle glaucoma
  • Coma
  • Respiratory depression
  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Liver dysfunction
  • Sleep apnea
  • Pulmonary insufficiency
  • Chronic psychosis
  • Phobic states
  • Pregnancy

Physicians also recommend that patients avoid alcohol consumption, operation of heavy equipment and driving vehicles while taking etizolam. It has been shown to impair motor function because of its sedative effects. The drug is commonly compared to alprazolam in how it affects a patient.

Etizolam Dosage Considerations For In Vitro Research

In vivo experiments involve human participation through ingestion, and these studies should only be conducted in the three countries where etizolam is legal by authorized professionals. Chemical research with in vitro experiments can be conducted by anyone. In vitro research involves testing the substance on other substances and not by means of human ingestion. Since etizolam is not controlled or regulated, it can be purchased by anyone to conduct legal chemical research.

One of the most well-known types of in vitro experiments conducted with etizolam studied its effects on the platelet reacting factor in extracted blood. Doses varied in experiments from 0.3mg to 1.0mg. When researchers found that etizolam inhibited the PAF, this led to a multitude of possibilities. Further research was conducted in countries where the drug is now legal to consume and prescribe.

After its effects on the PAF were discovered, that application was used to test the resolution of a chronic subdural hematoma for cognitive therapy. A short-term dose of 3mg was used in this experiment. The etizolam-inhibited PAF was also tested to measure its usefulness in aiding a fetus to implant easier to a uterine wall for a fertility treatment patent. While doses varied among subjects, researchers maintained low doses for optimal effects.

Etizolam has also been used for in vitro research in both small and large doses for its reaction with extracted hormones. Such experiments have strengthened the argument for using it as an antidepressant in countries where etizolam is legal to consume. It can also be used for experimentation with lab equipment. For example, a lab may purchase new GC-MS machinery. It is necessary to calibrate the machine. When programming types of drugs for the machine to recognize, it can be useful for it to recognize etizolam. This could appear in a screen for someone who abuses the substance.
